Exercise for Chronic Conditions

Chronic health conditions have increased substantially over recent years, due to changes in our lifestyle. Poor diet, insufficient physical activity and tobacco use are the greatest risk factors for the majority of long-term conditions. It is estimated that over 15 million people in the UK are living with at least one chronic condition, and the number of people living with multiple long-term conditions is rising.

However, many of these diseases can be controlled and improved with exercise. Regular physical activity can help to manage symptoms of Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, cancer and arthritis, amongst many other conditions. Exercise can also help to improve quality of life and mental health when living with a long-term illness.

If you would like to exercise in a way that is safe, enjoyable and tailored to your unique medical needs I can help you with this.
