Exercise for Older Adults
You are never too old to exercise. I am enthusiastic about helping older adults to move their bodies in ways that will benefit their day-to-day lives. There are so many reasons to keep active into older age - it can give you the strength and energy to look after your grandchildren and carry your shopping bags, reduce your risk of falls, and prevent osteoporosis, heart disease and dementia amongst many other chronic conditions. Exercise can also help to improve your sleep, confidence and mood, and it's a great way to socialise and feel part of a community! Read my blog post on why older women need to lift weights here.
I run two weekly Over 50's classes at The Gym Southfields every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30am. I also work with 1-to-1 clients who want to be fit for life in their 50's, 60's, 70's and beyond.
