FAQs
Why is your online coaching different?
I'm a coach who cares just as much about your mental health as your physical health. A lot of things about the fitness industry give me the ick, and I know they're not great for our mental health. This is why I've developed this programme for women like you who KNOW you should be exercising regularly but find this hard because you struggle with your mental health. And this is why I will NEVER make you take progress photos in your pants, give you a meal plan, make you do exercises you hate or promote a summer shred. Instead, I will support you with an exercise programme based on YOUR preferences and needs, help you to form healthy habits using evidence-based behaviour change science, and transform your relationship with exercise and yourself!
Why are you the best coach for me?
If other coaches have made you feel crappy about your body, or not understood why you feel anxious about going to the gym, firstly I am sorry.

And secondly, I get it. I am a human and I have lived experience of mental health issues. I've been there and I know how challenging it can be to do 'normal' things like looking after yourself when you're in the thick of it.

I also have training in Psychology. I have a First-class Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Health Psychology, plus several years experience working as a Psychology Research Assistant at three of the UK's most prestigious universities. I also have a Level 2 Counselling qualification.

As if this wasn't enough, I also have seven years of compassionate coaching under my belt. I still work as a Personal Trainer with 1-1 clients in SW London, and can't see myself stopping this anytime soon because I love it! I know how to help real people get results and most importantly transform their relationships with exercise and themselves.
Do I need a gym membership?
No! Ideally you will have access to some free weights (e.g. dumbbells or kettlebells), but that's enough to make a great start. When we begin coaching you'll tell me if you'd prefer home or gym workouts, and what equipment you have access to, and I will tailor the programme to you.
I have an injury or medical condition
No problem at all. I'll ask you to complete a medical form before you start and as long as I consider you safe to exercise (or you have approval from your GP), you're good to go. I've worked with 100's of women with various conditions, from MS to lower back pain, and exercise is almost always recommended and will help you manage whatever you're going through. I also have a pre and post natal qualification so can work with you during or after pregnancy.
How much does it cost?
Online coaching is £150/ month. This will be billed to you monthly. To get the most out of coaching it is recommended that you stay on for at least three months, but many of my clients choose to work with me for years.
What is included in the cost?
-
All your workouts programmed for the entire month (this is not another generic gym programme, it is based on your specific preferences and needs)
-
WhatsApp support from me
-
Weekly check-ins
-
Monthly 1-1 psychological coaching calls with me
Is the Psychological coaching the same as therapy?
No. I am not a Therapist or Counsellor. I am a Coach with a lot of knowledge and interest in mental health and academic training in Psychology. I encourage all of my clients to work with a Therapist alongside me to provide a holistic approach to mental health.

The Psychological coaching call is more like a check-in, but with a strong emphasis on how you're feeling rather than how many kg's you've lost or what your step count was (because personally I find that quite boring and maybe you do too!). We go into the nitty gritty about where your head's at, what barriers are holding you back from doing the things you want to, and we come up with solutions collaboratively so that you're armed with tools to take with you into the next week to become your healthiest and happiest self.
